Brand Spotlight: APL

APL, or Athletic Propulsion Labs, is a brand that makes sneakers for running and training. As someone who goes to the gym about five times a week, I'm always looking for sneakers that are comfortable to work out in but also cute to wear and run errands in. Enter: APL.

I got my first pair as a birthday present from my sister in July. And from that point, I was obsessed. They're the APL Techloom Pro Mesh Sneakers in sunset orange. I don't think that exact color is available anymore but they have tons of options.

My favorite part about APL sneakers is how the laces get tied behind the lip of the sneaker and then tucked in so you never have to worry about your shoe laces being untied. This is especially awesome for when your running or doing cardio. I won't lie, they're on the more expensive side. But, it's definitely an investment because they're really great quality and will last a long time.

I just received my second pair this past weekend as an anniversary present from my boyfriend. I had been dropping hints that I wanted them for awhile and luckily he picked up on it! (I'm sure it wasn't hard I'm not very subtle.) They're the Techloom Phantom in Rose Gold. I'm so in love with them. I also love rose gold so having rose gold sneakers is a necessity. Unfortunately, they're sold out in most sizes but you can find them here.

The typical price range for APL sneakers are $165- $185. Plus tax and shipping and all that not so fun stuff it's usually about $200. But if you feel how I feel and are tired of wearing Nikes everyday, it may be worth the splurge.
