As most of you probably know, I'm a huge fan of Rodan and Field's lash growth serum Lash Boost.

While I'm by no means a skin care professional or esthetician, I have been using Lash Boost for almost a year, have done a lot of research on the product, and my sister is a Rodan + Fields Consultant so I definitely have some experience.
I have had amazing results from Lash Boost and would recommend the product to anyone. Recently, a lot of you have been DM'ing me questions about Lash Boost so I thought I would put together a Q&A and answer all of your questions in one place, as best as I can.
Let's be real, everyone wants long, thick lashes. Lash extensions are damaging to your real eyelashes and are very costly. So, Lash Boost is an amazing alternative. I want all of you to have the lashes of your dreams, so let's get down to business.
Q: Will Lash Boost Give Me An Eye Infection?
A: In my experience, NO! I have super sensitive skin and eyes. I carry Visine in my purse at all times and have woken up many mornings with swollen and puffy eyelids because of an allergic reaction to some beauty product I tested. Since I first started using Lash Boost last spring, I haven't experienced any allergic reactions or eye infections. I think the most important thing to remember when using Lash Boost is a little goes a long way. There's no reason to glob the serum onto your eyelids, just one swipe on each eye will do. Also, make sure you allow the serum to dry for at least 90 seconds before rubbing or touching your eyes.
Q: Is It Expensive?
A: It's not cheap. Lash Boost retails for $150. However, my first tube of Lash Boost lasted me six months so if you think about it in that aspect, it costs roughly $25 per month. Compared to the price of lash extensions, Lash Boost is way less costly.
Q: Is It Safe?
A: I have never had any kind of health issues while using Lash Boost but I know that R&F advises pregnant women to consult a doctor before using it, as many beauty products do. Rodan and Fields has responded to this question in the past saying,
"Lash Boost's ingredients have not been associated with any significant side effects. Further, Rodan + Fields’ philosophy is to create safe and effective formulations, and thus, would not place a product on the market if otherwise. ENHANCEMENTS Lash Boost is clinically and ophthalmologist tested, and found to be safe and non-irritating. However, if you have health or medical concerns, confer with your doctor."
Q: How Long Does It Take Until You See Results?
A: Rodan and Fields recommends waiting 8 weeks or about two months until expecting to see results. However, I saw results after the first four weeks. The results after the first month were slight but noticeable. I also took "Before" photos for comparison, which I definitely recommend doing. After the first three months my lashes were unreal and since then, they've just gotten better and better with each passing month.
Q: Will Lash Boost Damage My Real Eyelashes?
A: No, if and when you decide to stop using Lash Boost, your lashes will simply return to growing at the same rate that they grew at before.
Q: Did Lash Boost Only Work For You Because Your Lashes Were Long to Begin With?
A: I'll be totally honest and tell you that I did have long eyelashes to begin with but I wanted them to be thicker and longer. So, I think that's why I saw results so quickly. However, my mom used Lash Boost as well and she had super short eyelashes to begin with. After using Lash Boost for about two months, her results are amazing and her eyelashes look doubly long. So, no I don't think your original lash length will affect your overall results, if anything, it just might take a little longer.
Q: How/When Do I Use The Product?
A: You use Lash Boost every night before going to bed. After ensuring that all of your eye makeup is removed, swipe one line of serum on each lash line, let it dry for 90 seconds, and you're good to go! I've found the key to seeing results with Lash Boost is consistency, you have to use it every single night like clockwork. If you're using it twice a week, you aren't going to see results.
Q: Do I Apply It To My Lower Lash Line?
A: NO! However, you can use it on your eyebrows to make them grow thicker and fuller.
I hope this Q&A helped you guys and as always, you can send me a DM on Instagram if you have any other questions- I'm happy to help! (@insidecarolinecloset)
