The holiday season has officially come to an end. While we're left with countless pictures, memories, and empty champagne glasses, it's time to focus on what's important. Our skin.
After all of the drinking, eating, and late nights our skin needs a pick me up to return to its former glowing, hydrated condition.

Here are a few tips and tricks to help your skin recover from the holidays and look even better than before.
Drink Water
Drinking water is so important for our health and most of us, myself included, don't drink enough of it. The rule of thumb is usually to drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day. I started drinking a bottle of water as soon as I got home on NYE and have been staying hydrated since. Water helps to flush out toxins and pollutants to leave you with glowing, hydrated skin. I also love drinking Trader Joe's Organic Green Tea & Lemonade when I'm sick of water. It's delicious and a lot better for you than soda or other juices.

I've incorporated these Radiance Pads into my daily beauty routine after I first received a sample size, and I'm so happy I did. You wipe your face, neck, and shoulders with a pad once or twice a day after washing your face. It makes me feel so refreshed and leaves my skin brighter and more evenly toned. One side of the pad has raised bumps to exfoliate, so they also help reduce clogged pores.
Hydrating Facial Spray

Use a hydrating facial spray before putting on makeup or after you moisturize to give your skin some added moisture and glow. Mario Badescu's Rosewater Facial Spray is amazing as is, my current favorite, the Murad Hydrating Toner. I use the Murad Hydrating Toner anytime I put on makeup, even if it's just tinted moisturizer, and it helps to keep my skin feeling supple and soft.
De-Puff Your Eyes

Our eyes are always the first thing to give it away when we're tired, stressed, or in some desperate need of R&R. There are a ton of great products you can use to decrease eye puffiness such as Sephora's Rose Eye Masks or Cerave's Eye Repair Treatment. However, if you'r looking to keep your wallet in your pocket, there are a few home remedies that work just as well.
First is the tea bag trick. Place a green tea bag in a mug with hot water, let it cool so that you don't get burned, and place it over your lids. You can leave it for three to ten minutes, or even longer. The natural caffeine will constrict your blood vessels, leading to less puffiness and swelling.
Secondly is the cold spoon trick. Place two spoons in your freezer and let them chill. Then place them hollow side up, on top of your lids for 10-15 minutes. The cold metal will also help get rid of puffiness and calm your eyes. To get rid of dark under eye circles, place the bottoms of the spoons under your eyes for the same amount of time.
Moisturizer

Bring your skin back to life with the perfect moisturizer. Currently, I'm loving First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Intense Hydration Cream. It's surprisingly not too thick and blends into skin perfectly. It keeps my skin so hydrated and soft. I'll be honest I was hestitant to try First Aid Beauty's products but am so pleasantly surprised. They work so well and aren't too strong.
I hope these tips help you guys recover from the holidays and have your skin glowing in no time. As always, thank you for reading! If you have any blog post suggestions, DM or email me!
