My Favorite Sun Protectant Skincare Products

I'm a huge advocate of wearing sunscreen. It's easy to forget to apply sunblock when you get to the beach, but if you start taking it seriously now your future self will thank you.

Protecting yourself from the sun consistently will keep you from experiencing wrinkles, sun spots, sun burn, peeling, unwanted freckles, and worst case, even melanoma.

I never hit the pool or beach without a pair of sunglasses and a big floppy sunhat. At the very least, you should be shielding your face from the sun's harmful rays as much as possible.

Here are my favorite sun protectant skincare products:

Clarins SPF 50+ Sunscreen for Face Wrinkle Control Cream- $36

Clarins' products aren't cheap but they are my absolute favorite. My mom has always bought Clarins sunscreen and because of her, I got hooked as well. It's the only sunscreen that doesn't irritate my skin or cause breakouts. So, if you have sensitive skin like I do I highly recommend this product. It also has anti-aging properties, reducing the appearance of wrinkles while protecting your skin.

Clarins Sunscreen Oil Spray SPF 30- $36

Clarins Oil Spray is my go to sunscreen for my body. However, be careful when using any spray sunscreens and make sure that your are thoroughly rubbing them into your skin and covering all areas.

Neutrogena Clear Face Break Out Free Liquid Lotion Sunscreen SPF 30- $12

For a cheaper option, Neutrogena is amazing. This sun lotion is breakout free, preventing clogged pores and acne due to sunscreen. It also has amazing coverage and does a great job protecting your face from the sun.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen Lotion $11-$15

This sunblock is water resistant for up to 80 minutes, in case you forget to reapply after taking a dip. It also feels very lightweight and thin, as opposed to other thick, chalky alternatives.

Neutrogena Beach Defense Water + Sun Spray SPF 30- $10

If you prefer body spray over lotion, this one is for you. Beach Defense Water + Sun Spray has SPF 30 and protects you whether you're on the lounge chair or in the ocean. Most of these Neutrogena products can be found at your local drugstore as well.

Eau Thermale Avene Ultra Light SPF 50- $25

I was first introduced to this product from FabFitFun and I absolutely love it. It's a bit pricey but it hydrates and moisturizes your skin and contains SPF 50.

Fresh Sugar Sport Treatment Sunscreen SPF 30- $25

This sun protectant lip balm has won just about every award out there. It retains moisture and hydration in your lips while protecting them from getting burnt.

Nivea Smoothness Lip Balm Dual Pack SPF 15- $3.50

For a cheaper yet effective option, Nivea's A Kiss of Smoothness lip balms are a no brainer.
